In the landscape of modern work-life, it’s an eye-opening reality that one-third of an adult’s life is spent in the workplace, a significant factor that shapes not only professional growth but also personal health. This aspect becomes even more crucial for employees aged 40 years and above, who often experience unique health challenges as they progress in their careers.

In recognition of its 25th Anniversary, Qualitas profoundly acknowledges the significant yet often underappreciated influence of the workplace on employee health. As part of our silver jubilee celebration, we are proud to introduce an exclusive health screening programme, targeted specifically at employees aged 40 to 59 years old. This initiative not only marks our quarter-century milestone in the industry but also embodies our commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of the corporate sector’s most valuable asset – its people.

TYPES OF SCREENING OFFERED

HbA1c

As individuals age, their risk of developing type 2 diabetes increases, making regular HbA1c screenings crucial for early detection and management of this condition.

Tumour Marker (CEA & AFP)

Tumour markers like CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen) and AFP (Alpha-Fetoprotein) are substances often produced by cancer cells or by the body in response to cancer, making them valuable indicators in cancer screening and monitoring.

Full Blood Count (FBC)

Early detection through FBC can lead to timely interventions, significantly improving the prognosis for many conditions.

Renal Function Test

The test evaluates various parameters, including creatinine levels and glomerular filtration rate, providing insights into how well the kidneys are performing their essential functions. Early detection of kidney impairment can slow the progression of kidney disease and reduce the risk of complications such as hypertension and cardiovascular disease.

Physical Examination

Individuals in this age group typically enter a phase of life marked by increased susceptibility to various health issues, including chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes and heart disease. Therefore, a comprehensive physical examination plays a crucial role in the early detection and management of such conditions.

Fasting Lipid Profile

This test measures levels of cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, indicators that are key in assessing the risk of heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular conditions. High levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol or low levels of HDL (good) cholesterol can be early warning signs, prompting necessary lifestyle changes or medical interventions.

Urine FEME

This test analyses urine for several parameters, including the presence of proteins, glucose, blood cells and other substances that can indicate a range of conditions from urinary tract infections to kidney disease and even diabetes.

Pap Smear (For Women)

This simple test involves collecting cells from the cervix to detect any changes or abnormalities that could indicate the presence of precancerous or cancerous cells.

Mammogram (For Women)

Mammograms can identify tumours that are too small to be felt and detect cancers before symptoms develop, significantly increasing the chances of successful treatment and survival.
