Qualitas Partners With SOCSO for Foreign Worker COVID-19 Screening

Qualitas Medical Group has spearheaded the nation’s efforts in Covid-19 screening through on-site screening, walk-in clinics and home sampling. These efforts have contributed immensely in curbing the spread of COVID-19 and has been recognised by the Ministry of Health and other regulatory bodies, like Social Security Organisation (SOCSO).

In line with the government’s effort in fighting COVID-19, Qualitas has increased its capacity and capability in conducting COVID-19 Screening Services. Qualitas in collaboration with Socso under the Program Saringan Prihatin (PSP) initiative has established a Public-Private Initiative (PPI) called Aggregated Screening Centre (ASC).

The objective of the ASC is to provide a one-stop-centre for all eligible foreign workers (FW), who are considered high-risk in the COVID-19 transmission chain, to undergo RTK-Antigen screening procedure in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) outlined by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). Socso will subsidise the cost of RTK-Ag, which is to be utilised via clinics for all eligible Foreign Workers.

It is hoped that through this programme, there will be further participation of foreign workers especially from SMEs, and contribute significantly to breaking the transmission chain of the COVID-19 in more proactive and efficient ways.
